Frank Guinta To Hold A “Town Hall”, Just Not With Bob Bestani
Some open questions for NH political reporters:
Frank Giunta DOES have a primary opponent, correct?
And Bob Bestani, Frank’s primary opponent, DID challenge Frank to a series of town halls last May, right?
Which Team Guinta IGNORED?
But Guinta’s brush-off didn’t stop him for REGURGITATING NRCC talking points hitting Shea-Porter for avoiding town halls a couple of months later?
And now Frank is hosting his own “town hall” in Exeter, with some “panel of experts” (safety net?), just NOT with his primary opponent Bob Bestani, the guy who initially challenged Frank to the town halls in the first place?
Why Team Guinta, how very DC of you to ignore the New Hampshire Republican Primary process.
Right?

Valuable thoughts and advices. I read your topic with great interest.
You hit the nail on the head! Guinta is nothing more than an empty suit – and he knows it. Sending him to DC will be sending a rubber stamp to the same bozos that screwed up our party in the first place.

I think the NHGOP is asking for trouble if they under-estimate the level anti-Guinta sentimate out there. The guys has done nothing for Manchester and has stabbed a lot of people in the back over the years.
The guy is bad news!!

While Guinta is grandstanding Bestani has been publishing article after article on his website on health care. Frank is being a show horse while Bestani is being a work horse.
Frank Guinta is running for the First District Congressional seat against Carol Shea-Porter. He is running as a Republican. We ought to remember that Dede Scozzafava also ran as a Republican, and perhaps a brief look at Giunt’s record in the NH Legislature will show the difference between the two.
1)Frank Guinta voted AGAINST right-to-work legislation (a bill that would have outlawed closed union shops- i.e. stating that you cannot mandate union membership as a condition of employment). HB 221, 4/26/2001, Roll Call #91, Guinta voted “Yea” to ITL motion to kill the bill.
2)Frank Guinta voted AGAINST legislation to allow for lifetime pistol permits. This legislation was considered the most important 2nd Amendment legislation in the 2001-02 session. HB 223, 1/02/2002, Roll Call #2, Guinta voted “Yea” to ITL motion to kill the bill.
3)Frank Guinta voted AGAINST legislation to require parental consent for abortions performed on children less than 16 years of age. HB 1380, 2/14/2002, Roll Call #41, Guinta voted “Yea” to ITL motion to kill the bill.
4)Frank Guinta voted FOR a bill that increased the business enterprise tax by 50% (from 0.5% to 0.75%), increased the business profits tax (from 8% to 8.5%) and increased the communications tax by 50% (from 3% to 4.5%). HB 170, 6/26/2001, Roll Call #143, Guinta voted “Yea” to adoption of the Committee of Conference Report.
5)Here is the budget (HB1) that Frank Guinta voted in favor of in 2001 for state fiscal years 2002-2003.

As you can see the 42% increase in this budget was by far the largest of any in recent memory:
